I have been a piercing enthusiast my entire life (in fact, I decided in the first grade that I would someday have seven piercings per ear, at least!), but my professional involvement in the industry officially began in 2018 when I started as first a jewelry specialist and eventually a piercing apprentice in Chicago, IL. And now…we’re here! In October 2024, I opened Rosefinch Body Piercing.
In my pre-piercing life, I worked in social sciences research, so I’ve always been drawn to interdisciplinarity: holding many lenses through which to view and explore the world. I feel that piercing truly embodies the spirit of interdisciplinary knowledge, and, for me, very much coheres my interests in health/medicine, culture, and adornment into one amazing career. Here I have a space to learn about everything from wound healing to gemology, ritual to anatomy, photography to microbiology, and, honestly, it’s just the best. It’s an absolute joy and honor to help clients realize their most genuine selves, and especially alongside some of the most kind, thoughtful, and talented piercers and jewelry specialists I have ever met. So…let’s figure out something really cool together! I look forward to working with you.
As a note: My focus has transitioned more to the back end of things lately! I unfortunately cannot take appointments outside of my scheduled piercing days; if I am ever piercing extra days, it will be reflected on our booking system, so that is always the best place to book an appointment. But, I am so lucky to get to work alongside some of the most talented, passionate, and all-around amazing human beings in this industry, so you are in the best of hands with anyone on the team!
