I have been piercing in a professional setting since 2022, but have had a lifelong fascination with piercing and its relationship to the realms of body/mind, adornment/expression, ritual/ancestry, and its significance in queer history.
I believe that our bodies are containers for who we want to be, and we get to pick and choose what to accent and enhance during our time on this funky planet. Simultaneously, there are also some immutable characteristics that we are born into that affect our experience of the world. What I love about piercing is how it interacts with all of those layers of being. Whatever the motivation for your piercing, whether it is for style, gender affirmation, cultural rite of passage, or simply marking a moment in time - ultimately the common denominator is that a piercing helps you become more You. It is so meaningful for me to be a part of that process by facilitating the piercing experience. I always love to hear the stories, feelings and ideas you're bringing to the piercing room - even if that feeling is a bit of fear! Piercing is for everyone and if this practice has taught me anything, it's that discomfort is fleeting and just a small speck in the greater scheme of getting what we want from life.
Jewelry-wise, I'm a big fan of textural contrast, chains/charms, and bold color combinations. Before working in the industry, I worked for many years in custom jewelry design and production so I always love to chat jewelry! Outside of work, I love journaling, going to the movies, watching live music, and couch time with my 2 cats Evil and Big Boy.
