Hey Subscriber First Name, The past nine months have sure been twisty and turny! I can now say I know way more about door closer mechanics, light bulb temperatures, and macro jewelry photography than I ever thought possible, or truthfully ever desired to know. (I am pretty stoked about the last one though—all those photos in the webstore? Ya that was me.) Thanks so much for bearing with me and my reduced availability while I assemble this little dream space. And now, I can finally welcome you to the studio. The booking site is now officially live! There are a few things to note, however: I am waiting on LeRoi and Anatometal orders of threaded implant-grade titanium basics and implant-grade steel + niobium rings. I was not able to establish these accounts until I received my Chicago business license last Wednesday, which was its own several-month-long saga. This means that, at this time, I do not have any curved, circular, or threaded straight barbells in stock. As such, the following piercing services are fully on pause until those come in: I do, however, have threadless straight barbells in stock, so I can offer nipple and bridge piercings (wahoo!). Additionally, I am SO stocked on threadless endpieces, including a full line-up of titanium shapes and gems, gold basics, and hand-picked gold pieces from the APP Conference. Want a cool friggin conch or a nostril? Let’s do it. Between this waiting game and the reality of being a brand new studio, my jewelry selection is likely more limited than what you might be used to. I also recognize that my new location means that some of you will be traveling a bit further to see me! As such, it was a top priority for me to ensure that my clients have a way to peruse what I have on my webstore before coming in. I’d say I have about 90-95% of my inventory listed here—I’m still adding a few more threadless ends as well as the threadless straight barbell selection over the next week. If you plan to come in, there’s zero pressure to purchase the piece prior to your appointment unless you are absolutely smitten. I personally think it’s better to see and hold pieces up in person before committing because sometimes it’s difficult to get a sense of scale from a close-up photo. I offer shipping on pieces as well. If there is something you want but I do not have, I have also set up a custom order form. I’ve listed all the wholesale accounts I have, and I am constantly in the process of trying to open accounts with more wholesalers. Lastly, I’m offering gift cards, which can be redeemed on the webstore or in-person, with 10% off amounts $150 and over. There’s no expiration date on these, so give your future self a little treat! My plan is to rock with this Soft-ish Opening situation for a few weeks—taking friends, family, and regular clients. Once these orders come in and my inventory is more complete, I’d like to announce a Grand Opening celebration, which you are all of course invited to. I’m guessing this will take place sometime in mid- to late-October.
